The team behind Brave, the privacy and crypto-friendly web browser, has been developing the browser’s wallet feature for quite some time. The Brave Wallet is now live on both desktop and mobile platforms.

Brave Wallet is integrated into the browser itself and does not require the installation of a browser plug-in like other wallets such as Metamask and Coinbase Wallet. According to Brave, having a built-in browser doesn’t slow down browser performance like plug-in wallets might.

To celebrate the occasion, Brave is announcing the Brave Swap-Stakes crypto sweepstakes, a series of giveaways lasting six days starting today, Tuesday, March 8th. Brave will be giving away fungible tokens as well as NFTs, consistent with giving away a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT worth about 80 Ether (ETH).

Swap Stakes offers crypto assets and NFTs

Also as part of the campaign the Brave Wallet swap stakes offers crypto assets from Ether (ETH) to Solana (SOL) to Basic Attention Token (BAT) and some of the most coveted NFTs on the market today, like Lazy Lions, Pudgy Penguins, and World of Women.

The contest will run from 00:01 PST Tuesday 8th March to 23:59 PST Monday 14th March 2022 with new prizes daily. To qualify for a given day’s prizes, users must have a Brave Wallet address that is active on that day and use the Brave Swap feature in that wallet to make at least one crypto swap on that day.

In order to qualify for the grand prizes, users must have a Brave wallet address that is active at some point during the competition and use the Brave Swap feature in that wallet to make at least one crypto swap during the active dates of the competition to perform.

Brave Wallet is free to use on both desktop and mobile. To use it, new users should download the Brave browser on their desktop or mobile device. To access the wallet on desktop, open the Brave browser and click on the wallet icon in the toolbar. To access Brave Wallet on mobile, open the browser menu and then tap the wallet icon. If existing Brave browser users don’t see the wallet icon, they need to do that first To update to the latest version of Brave.

Look for the “golden ticket” in your wallet.

Each winner will be selected at random based on their wallet address; Users will know if they’ve won when they find a freshly minted “golden ticket” that NFT has placed in the user’s wallet. This ticket serves as proof of winning and can be redeemed for the actual prize. Winners will be asked to communicate with Brave using an email address and using a specific code word. Both – together with further instructions – appear on the ticket. Brave drops the prizes in the same wallet where the winners received the golden ticket.

As mentioned in the press release, winners will never be asked to share their private key or wallet information. Please avoid any sources claiming otherwise as this may be a phishing attempt. And don’t reply to anyone who hasn’t signed up with an email address.
