“Electric BharatMala” to promote entrepreneurship and protect the environment

This will be a “thrilling ride” as the two riders set out on a 54-day journey of 14,216 kilometers (km) on heavy electric motorcycles, Made in India, traveling across the country’s borders.

This goes beyond an adventurous journey as the duo will connect with young people traveling through colleges, to bring home the important message of entrepreneurship and sustainability.

Rightly called the “Electric Bharat Mala”, this is a StartupnREV initiative, led by Giovanni Kuruvilla And Gautam Khot, who are multifaceted personalities with experiences in the corporate and startup world, and now want to urge the young people of the country to get out of their comfort zone and StartUp. There has been no better time than NOW in our country to start with a plethora of incentives from central and state governments, ample high quality money looking for great ideas and founders, incubators and accelerators across the country providing the resources and infrastructure it needs so badly for growth.

The journey will begin February 4, 2022 from Bengaluru on electric motorcycles – Mantis from Energie Orxa and literally cross the country, for a total of 14,216 km. With the team scheduled to complete the trip and return to Bangalore by the 29thth of March.

Once successfully completed, the trip would break the current world record for the longest electric motorcycle trip of 12,379km, set by Italian friends. Returning to the venture John and Gautam aimed at, on the Mantis the other key partners on this journey will be Charzer, a network of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, SpareIT – network provider of services and spare parts ready for electric vehicles and PotHoleRaja , whose mission is to repair potholes while creating awareness of road safety. Yourstory, one of the country’s leading digital media platforms, is also collaborating on this project.

While traveling, these two pilots’ primary mission will be to interact with students from various colleges along the way and ignite their passion for entrepreneurship. After seeing various changes in the corporate world and now being part of the startup accelerator – Brigade Reap, the duo understand the path that young people in India must take in the current environment.

John and Gautam clearly see the changes that have been brought about by technology and this, coupled with the innovation of bright young minds, is sure to bring much bigger changes to our country and to society as a whole.

This is perhaps the right time to foster the seeds of entrepreneurship among the young people of the country and given the countless interaction John and Gautam will have with college students during this journey covering 50 places, they would be best placed to pass on their wisdom. as well as guiding them on their journey.

The entire trip is self-financed by the startups and the 2 riders. Support came from other companies in Bangalore: Amace solutions, a leading 3D printing company that helped with 3D printing of EV motorcycles, Khivraj Motors who provided a support vehicle to carry spare batteries, charging stations and other equipment. and 6K IOM a leading bike accessories company that has equipped riders with safety riding and communication equipment.

Many hotels have also agreed to offer complementary crew stays as they garland our country in an electrifying way.
