Owner Lisa Holbrook said she was considering starting a business for several years while working as a Summa Health therapist.

“I thought for a while,” he said. “I knew I couldn’t continue palliative care. I felt emotionally good.”

Holbrook said he first saw Mogador but settled on Tall Mudge when the right place became available.

“I was looking for a place to rent for a while,” he said.

According to Holbrook, the building owners worked together to renovate the four treatment rooms, drywall and floors.

She said she had invested about $ 35,000 in a new business with the help of a low-interest loan for small businesses in Summit County.

Holbrook said he intends to build a business with quality service and reasonable rates for his customers.

“I opened this place to make it affordable,” he said.

Hourly rates at the Tall Mudge Therapeutic Massage & Wellness Center are well below comparable facilities.

The in-house massage therapist is licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board.

The company provides clients with personalized and relaxing therapeutic massages.

According to Holbrook, he recently made a ribbon cut with Mayor of Tollmadge, David Klein, and opened on June 15.

According to Holbrook, the business so far has been growing steadily.

“I will hire more therapists as I grow up,” he said.

Republic Finance provides assistance such as invoice consolidation

Another new company, Republic Finance LLC, recently opened on 578 South Ave. It offers consumer loans, including invoice consolidation loans, personal loans and payday loans.

The company serves more than 300,000 customers in 200 communities in 10 states, including Ohio.

Ohio Driving School Adds New Location

The Ohio Driving School has opened on 182 East Avenue. There are locations throughout Summit County, including the location of the new Tallmadge.

We offer a variety of programs for teens and new drivers. We also offer junior driver improvement programs and courses for first-time criminals.

The new company recently held a groundbreaking ceremony with Klein and her instructor at the new office.

Klein said the three new businesses represent strong business activity in the city.

“It’s been very successful at Tall Mudge,” said the mayor. “We measure this with income tax [receipts].. “

Klein said earnings were higher than expected and the city is showing growth in new and existing businesses.

“West Avenue, the corridors along it are more car-friendly, so you can see car dealers expanding their presence,” he said.

He cites the expansion of Dermamed Coating Co., the refurbishment of the 83,000-square-foot Waltco building by Jetpack, and Speelman Electric as examples of large companies that see the city as a good place to set up and grow stores. I did. Jetpack and Speelman employ more than 200 people.

Companies in the city, like the United States, are facing a persistent labor shortage, but new businesses are growing well, Klein said.

“I think he’s definitely being treated,” he said.
